Why a Personal Assistant for Aging Parents is Better Than Aged Care Agencies

When families start looking for support for aging parents, most default to aged care agencies. But there's another option that's faster, more personal, and often better value: a Personal Assistant for aging parents.

Here's why:

Agencies are slow. Rostering takes 3-5 days. If they need someone quickly, they roster whoever is spare. You meet with care planners. You wait for schedules. When your parent needs help NOW, agencies can't move fast.

PAs respond immediately. Call me Monday, I'm there ASAP, same day if possible. No rostering delays. No care planner meetings. Just direct contact and fast action.

Agencies send different people. You'll get rotating carers of varying quality. Your parent never builds a relationship. If they do, the revolving door of casual staff (students, visa holders) means they might not stick. It's often transactional, not personal.

PAs build relationships. I'm the same person every time. I learn your parent's preferences, routines, quirks. I become part of the family, not a stranger dropping in.

Agencies have Rising costs of staff. Weekend surcharges (1.5-2x rates). Public holiday fees (2-3x rates). Overnight charges ($300-650).

PAs have transparent pricing. My pricing is flat. No weekend surcharges. No hidden fees. You know exactly what you're paying.

Agencies are bureaucratic. Forms. Care plans. Rostering systems. Management layers. It's designed for institutions, not individuals.

PAs are direct. You call me. We talk. I show up. Simple.

If your parent is sharp, social, and interesting, but needs someone reliable in their corner—they don't need aged care. They need a PA.
