Get them home safely

Collect medication if needed

Make sure they’re comfortable

Put on a cup of tea or something simple to eat

Check their home environment

Stay for a little while so the transition doesn’t feel abrupt

Let you know how they’re doing once settled

It’s what a daughter or close family friend would do if they were here.

I'll also let you know if I see anything that needs attention - medication concerns, home safety, or signs they might need more support going forward. I can step in and liaise with providers and specialists we can talk about a short or long term retainer.
